General Philippe Lavigne Received Leadership from NCIA

NORFOLK, VA – On June 6th, 2023, Allied Command Transformation hosted leadership from the NATO Communications and Information Agency. General Philippe Lavigne, Supreme Allied Commander Transformation, welcomed Mr. Ludwig Decamps, General Manager of the NATO Communications and Information Agency, for a series of discussions on digital transformation, interoperability, and strategic partnerships.

NATO Communications and Information Agency management met with leaders from Allied Command Transformation, including Supreme Allied Commander Transformation General Lavigne, General Chris Badia, the Deputy Supreme Allied Commander Transformation, Vice Admiral Guy Robinson, Chief of Staff, Lieutenant General David Julazadeh, Deputy Chief of Staff for Capability Development, and Major General Robert Glab, Deputy Chief of Staff for Resource & Management. Through meetings with senior leaders from Allied Command Transformation, the NATO Communications and Information Agency is able to better understand the requirements of the Strategic Warfare Command, which implements capability development and warfare development throughout the Alliance. Digital transformation and multi-domain operations key priorities for NATO-wide development, which Allied Command Transformation helps deliver.

The NATO Communications and Information Agency acquires, deploys, and defends communication systems throughout the Alliance. As NATO’s technology and cyber experts, the NATO Communications and Information Agency is responsible for a variety of systems, including air and missile defence, cyber security, joint intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance, command and control, and operational analysis. By planning, prioritizing, leading, overseeing, and managing technological services and programs, the NATO Communication and Information Agency works to ensure the Alliance’s overall readiness and resilience, particularly in the face of emerging threats and evolving security challenges.

Mr. Ludwig Decamps, General Manager of the NATO Communications and Information Agency, previously served in several NATO senior leadership roles, including Director for Armaments and Aerospace Capabilities and the Director of Strategy for Defence Investment at NATO Headquarters. Additional leadership included Mr. Wiebe Nauta, the Chief Operating Officer of the NATO Communications and Information Agency.
