To foster collaboration and advance the state of the art in counter-Improvised Explosive Device capabilities, the Centre convened the 6th Technology Workshop in Seville, Spain earlier this year. The gathering brought together a diverse group of experts from military, government, and industry to share insights, showcase innovations, and explore new avenues of cooperation. From the operational frontlines to cutting-edge research laboratories, participants delved into the complexities of the Improvised Explosive Device threat and the latest countermeasures.
The workshop attracted over 120 attendees from 24 nations and featured demonstrations from 31 technology companies. By facilitating knowledge exchange and building partnerships, the Counter-Improvised Explosive Device Centre of Excellence is strengthening the global counter-Improvised Explosive Device community and enhancing its ability to respond to emerging challenges.
