Major General Robert GLAB assumed duties as the Deputy Chief of Staff Resources and Management, on August 1, 2021.
Major General Robert GLAB was born in Olkusz in 1965.
He has devoted his initial years of military career to 3rd Warsaw Air Defence Missile Brigade where he served as a platoon, battery and squadron commander. Since 2004 he had served as Chief of Training and Exercise Branch, and then as Chief of Staff at Brigade HQ. In 2009, he was assigned as a Senior Officer at Air Defense Directorate of the Polish Air Force, and in 2010 as a Chief of the Office at the Polish Air Force Command. In 2012-2015, he served as the ACOS A7 Training and Exercises Division at HQ NATO Allied Air Command (HQ AIRCOM) Ramstein, Germany. In 2016, MGEN Robert GLAB was appointed the Commander of Warsaw Garrison where he served until June 2021.
Major General Robert GLAB is a graduate of the Air Defense Military Academy in Koszalin, Poland, the University of Warsaw, where he earned his Master’s Degree in Political Science, and the King's College London, where he earned his Master’s Degree in Defense Studies.
He improved his qualifications during number of courses and studies. He has also participated in several of international conferences, seminaries and exercises related to his area of responsibility and expertise. His professional military education includes: the Advanced Command and Staff Course at the Joint Services Command and Staff College, Shrivenham, United Kingdom; the Flag Officers and Ambassadors (GFAOC-2) Course at NATO Defence College, Italy; the Operational and Tactical Course at the National Defence Academy, Poland; as well as various courses at the NATO School Oberammergau, Germany, the Analysis and Simulation Centre for Air Operations, France, and the National Defense Academy, Latvia.
In June 2018 he was appointed as a Chairman and successfully led the National Reserve Forces Committee for two consecutive years.
