DIVISION: Strategic Plans and Policy BRANCH/SECTION: Warfare Development Fusion Branch
DETAILS OF PROJECT:
The Warfare Development Fusion (WDF) Branch is responsible for updating the NATO Warfighting Capstone Concept (NWCC) and promoting the Warfare Development through identification of prioritized and synchronised work around Warfare Development Imperatives (WDI), expressed in the Warfare Development Agenda (WDA).
The future Intern will support the Warfare Development Fusion branch. Possible duties may include:
- Drafting of descriptive and analytical work paper deliverables, including but not limited to, supporting work papers and section in point papers, reports.
- Conduct of research and systematic analysis of information relating to the WDA.
- Assist in the preparation of WDA Executive Steering Groups.
- Track implementation status of the various WDA Lines of Delivery and update tracking.
- Update information on the Sharepoint Page of the WDF branch.
EXPECTED DELIVERABLE(S):
Full engagement in the intellectual life of the WDF Branch, with a focus on mentored interaction with WDF branch internal and external stakeholders. Research and writing projects should be anticipated, and will be conducted under the direct supervision of the sponsor.
TYPE OF BACKGROUND/EDUCATION PREFERRED:
Current or recent Post Graduate student in Political science, International relations, or Humanities; knowledge of Microsoft Office programmes, preferably including SharePoint; English proficiency, interpersonal skills, and experience in research, is preferred.
