The Partnership Training and Education Centres Working Group Meeting (PTEC WG) 2017 was hosted by the Kazakh Partnership for Peace Training Centre (KAZCENT) in Almaty, Kazakhstan 19-23 June 2017.
The aim of the PTEC WG was to prepare recommendations for the Commandants of the PTECs on the open issues given for the WG consideration by the 17th annual PTEC Commandants’ Conference. It also gave an opportunity to address PTEC community with NATO’s main objectives and current focused efforts in order to discuss the open issues with updated information and orientations.
The participants included representatives from 20 out of 31 Partnership Training and Education Centres, together with representatives from:
• International Staff (IS);
• International Military Staff (IMS);
• Headquarters Supreme Allied Commander Transformation (HQ SACT);
• Bi-SC Military Partnership Directorate (MPD); and
• NATO School Oberammergau (NSO).
The PTEC WG was co-chaired by Lieutenant Colonel Frederic Machard from HQ SACT and Colonel Paul Handle from NSO. Co-chairmen and Colonel Ruslan Zhakupov, KAZCENT Commandant welcomed participants.
