NATO Resource Conference
In close cooperation between the NATO HQ International Staff, Allied Command Transformation and the National Representatives from Canada, the NATO Resource Conference 2023 will be held on 23-25 May 2023 in Ottawa, Canada.
The theme of the conference is "Turning Ambition into Action: Delivering Common Funded Capabilities Better, Faster, Smarter".
The Conference will provide an open environment in which NATO's resource community (including NATO HQ, Strategic Commands, NATO agencies, and national representatives from capitals) can openly discuss the opportunities and issues related to resourcing the Alliance, and the delivery of common funded capabilities in a radically changed and increasingly complex security environment.
The 2021 Brussels Summit, the 2022 Madrid Summit and NATO’s 2022 Strategic Concept have increased the level of ambition for the Alliance, and have created the need for better, faster, smarter delivery. Against this backdrop, the resource community plays a fundamental role in turning the decisions by Heads of State and Government into action. The Conference will be a forum to discuss and share ideas on how to achieve this key objective for our Alliance.
The NATO Resource Conference will include a mixture of external and internal speakers, with different formats of discussion that will engage the audience in productive exchange of ideas and insights. The event is intended to expand knowledge throughout NATO by drawing upon national experiences and private sector know-how.
The NATO Resource Conference is a recurring event that aims at gathering decision makers from the NATO Nations capitals and their representatives in Brussels to enhance understanding and directions on how to maximize the use of resources in order to satisfy requirements from the Military Commanders in countering threats (both present and future) and seek ways in obtaining the necessary capabilities.
