Deputy Supreme Allied Commander Transformation, Polish Army General Mieczyslaw Bieniek, was one of two keynote speakers at the NATO Senior Officer Policy Course on February 7th. The other was Chief of Staff SHAPE, German Air Force General Manfred Lange.

The Senior Officer Policy Course is one of the flagship courses at the NATO School in Oberammergau, Germany. During his speech, Bieniek reflected on the impact that the Lisbon summit will have for NATO’s future. He also highlighted the areas where ACT is taking the lead, such as Comprehensive Approach and Capabilities Development.

Furthermore, he stressed the importance of NATO partnership programmes.During the visit, Bieniek also participated in a round table discussion with NATO School staff where they provided him with an overview of NATO School operations and new initiatives.
