ACT to host and chair the Exploiting Commercial Games and Technology for Military Use Workshop
The Future Capabilities, Research, & Technology Subdivision of ACT will host and chair the NATO Modelling and Simulation Group discussion at the Exploiting Commercial Games and Technology for Military Use Workshop September 22-24 at the Virginia Modelling, Analysis & Simulation Center in Suffolk, Va.
The aim of the workshop is to explore, through demonstrations and presentations, the “hard questions” related to exploiting commercial games and technology in NATO. The welcome address will be delivered by Rear Admiral Christian Canova, who will speak about the future of modelling and simulation in NATO and ACT.
The NATO Modelling and Simulation Group workshops share national experiences explore commercial games and technologies, seek to understand best practices, and identify barriers to further exploitation and seek ways these barriers might be overcome.
As part of the goal of exploiting commercial technologies, the distributed portion of the meeting will be held in the virtual world Second Life.
