CONFERENCE – Radisson Blu Hotel Latvija, Riga

Directions from Riga International Airport:

• By car (10 km – 15-20 minutes): directions can be found here.
• By public transport (30 to 45 minutes): the closest bus stops to the hotel are Esplanāde (2 min. walk) and Elizabetes iela (5 min. walk).

From the airport (bus stop Lidosta Riga), minibus 241 is direct to Esplanāde. On Sundays, frequency is between two and three buses an hour (timetable can be found here).

Another option is to take bus 22 towards Abrenes iela (also from bus stop Lidosta Riga) and stop at RMR (ride 10 minutes). At RMR, take bus 53 towards Esplanāde and stop at Esplanāde (ride 20 minutes).

The train station is a short 15 minute walk from the Radisson Blu Hotel Latvija.

RECEPTION – Latvian War Museum (Latvijas Kara muzejs)

The reception will be hosted by the Latvian Ministry of Defence at the Latvian War Museum, on Monday 15 October, from 1900 to 2100.

Transportation will be provided from the conference venue (Radisson Blu Hotel Latvija) to the museum. Further details will be available shortly.

It takes about 10 minutes to walk from the conference venue to the Latvian War Museum. A detailed map can be found here.

Conference fees

Conference fees of 160 Euros will apply to all attendees. These must be paid online, prior to the conference. Payment will not be accepted on location. Registration will only be confirmed upon payment of the conference fees.

Conference fees include access to the pre-conference workshop on Sunday 14 October, the conference on Monday 15 and Tuesday 16 October, coffee and lunch breaks on both days and attendance to the reception on Monday 15 October.

Cancellation policy

NATO will accept cancellation of attendance to the conference up until October 5, 2012. Cancellation can be done via the registration form on the registration page. Conference fees will be automatically reimbursed to the account linked to the credit card used for the initial payment. No reimbursement will be provided for cancellations after October 5, 2012.

Attendee substitutions will not be accepted. If your company wishes to send another representative and the deadline of October 5 has not passed, please cancel your registration and start a new registration for the new attendee.

Accommodation and transport to the conference

Accommodation

NATO will only book accommodation for NATO personnel, speakers and VIPs. For other conference attendees, NATO has negotiated 200 rooms a day to be held at a discounted rate at the Radisson Blu Hotel Latvija:

• Superior rooms: 89 Euros per night, including breakfast and Internet
• Business rooms: 125 Euros per night, including breakfast and Internet

This discounted rate will be available until October 1, 2012 only. Attendees are invited to book their accommodation directly with the hotel, referencing the NATO Industry Day conference. Room availability is on first-come, first-served basis.

Transport

Attendees will have a shuttle service at the airport, upon arrival. A hospitality desk will be displayed at the airport. Transportation in not fully guaranteed and will be provided on an availability basis.

Dress Code

Dress Code for the event (reception included):

• Service Dress Winter Uniform for military
• Business Suit for civilians.

Language and Classification

The program of the conference will be unclassified.

The conference will be conducted in English. No translation services will be provided.
