Dr. Yleem Poblete, Chief of Staff for the Committee on Foreign Affairs at the U.S. House of Representatives visited Headquarters, Supreme Allied Commander Transformation January 27.

Dr. Poblete was greeted by Supreme Allied Commander Transformation, French Air Force General Stephane Abrial, and the delegation participated in roundtable discussions on on the run-up to the 2012 NATO Summit in Chicago and how the summit should strengthen NATO’s role in Afghanistan post 2014. They also discussed how the summit can reinforce public understanding of the Alliance’s long term commitment in the country.

The committee members also received a brief on Alliance transformation and Allied Command Transformation’s role in countering Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs) in Afghanistan.
