JOB DESCRIPTION FOR POSSIBLE INTERNSHIP 2019

BRANCH/SECTION: Strategic Networking (SNET) Integrated Project Team (IPT)
DETAILS OF PROJECT:
Analysis and research support for the HQ SACT Strategic Networking (former Strategic Cooperation) program of work. Under guidance and direction of the IPT Lead and the sponsor, the intern will conduct analysis of NATO’s partnership tools and current cooperation efforts in order to support the development of concepts and strategies including regional and functional approaches to further simplify, optimize and synchronize these efforts to foster awareness mainly beyond NATO’s traditional area of expertise and current focus.
Generally support the ongoing administrative work including unclassified and classified Microsoft Sharepoint pages, IPT Library and Data Management.
Under the tutelage of the Sponsor, the candidate is also expected to:
- Prepare read ahead material, presentations and talking points for senior military staff.
- Develop reports and notes of the workshops, meetings and other activities within the HQ.
- Draft point papers and summaries to support SNET efforts.
- Other deliverables based on experience of the selected intern and specific projects.
TYPE OF BACKGROUND/EDUCATION PREFERRED:
Current or recent Postgraduate student in international relations, political science or history, security affairs. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office programmes, preferably including SharePoint.
