DETAILS OF PROJECT:
To gain an insight into the wide range of Human Resource (HR) services provided by the Section, the successful candidate selected for an internship in the ACT HR Section, will spend a period of time working along each member of the section. This period will act as an introduction to the Sections role in setting HR policy across the Command (including the Joint Warfare Centre, the Joint Forces Training Centre and the Joint Analysis Lessons Learned Centre) and contributing to the development of NATO-wide HR policy. Based on the introduction to the working of the Section, the intern will assist the Section Head in conducting an analysis of and proposing improvements to internal procedures and Command-wide policies. They will also be involved in the day to day running and administration of the ACT Internship Programme, making recommendations for the expansion of its internal delivery and for executing those recommendations. This will require interaction with all other divisions within ACT as well as with external authorities.
Full engagement in the working life of the ACT HR Section, with a focus on working procedures and HR Policy. Mentored interaction with customers, including preparation of recruitment boards, screening of visa applications for Department of State and Homeland Security review. Trouble shooting with regards to the internship programme.
TYPE OF BACKGROUND/EDUCATION PREFERRED:
Current or recent Postgraduate student in Human Resources, International Relations, or Business Management/Public Administration.
